I tend to use resorts, (which is the main type of accomodation here, indeed in the whole of the south pacific island area) when I want to blob, lie by the pool, swim, snorkel, go round the local markest, and generally relax and chill out, not when looking to get active with tours, sight seeing etc.

That is not to say that there are not sights to see here, or places of interest to go to. There certainly are.

The Duty Free shopping in town here, is also probably the cheapest in the Pacific., especially if you bring extra AUS$'s with you, you get a far better price than in Vatu.
