HOI AN | Hoi An by night from one of the many cafe's |
Hoi An is indeed the city of tailors, they are everywhere, tourists really have their pick here for getting clothes made at cheap prices.
The town itself is very picturesque, and well worth the visit to wander round the old town.
There are hotels everywhere, and the beach is about 4km away.
The big trip to do from here is the trip to the Hindu ruins at My Son. Its well worth the trip. The excursion I had been booked on also had a boat trip included with lunch on the boat, then to a working historical village by the river. That was interesting. you see working water buffalo, weaving, hat making, rice wine distilling, and a host of other attractions. |
| | OLD VEHICLES One thing that caught my eye (and ear) was the use of old military vehicles. These vehicles have no bonnet, and are virtually only the frame and the tray. How they are kept operational I have no clue. |
