Hue I traveled from Hoi An to Hue by bus. An interesting trip, we went through the relativly new tunnel that must save qute a slice of time for travellers, although I am told that the scenery going over the top is quite spectatuclar.
Hue is a compact place, the usual motor bikes and cyclo's abound.
Shopping is ok, but there is a lot to see.
I went on one of the "DMZ" tours, which take you to the demilitarised zone and to other war sites. I would recomend this to anyone, yes it is a long day, but worthwhile.
I also went through the Citadel, and went on the River trip and visited the tombs of the emperors. again worthwile.
NB On the tombs tour you climb literally hundreds and hundreds of steps. |
