After not knowing what to write in these lines, I had started to pick up my pace, and was quite happy about it... until I took my mail, without saving this page, and the unthinkable for a budding VT writer hapenned, I lost everything! ARGhhh! "Mille millions de mille sabords!!!", like Captain Haddock would have said in the same circumstances. So here goes, for the second time.
So, who am I? Good question. I hope that I get the right answer, but if I don't, you'll never know, will you? Ok, I'm done with my "esprit de bottine". It's now time to get serious, but not too much.
I'll always be on the look-out for that answer myself, but I can put you on the right tracks by saying this: Curiosity and imagination are perhaps what could define me best. Growing up spending a lot of time in my grandmother's Art Studio. And with Gaels and Norsemen as my ancestors, it's not a big surprise, we might think...
I'm extremely curious to discover about life. It intrigues me, it marvels me to the extreme. It's constant inventivity is out of this world. It's beauty and ugliness, both mesmerizing, but for different reasons. The first, because it pulls our being into which it can withhold of the purest of experiences and of feelings. the later because it can plunge us into sometimes shattering undergoings at it's extreme. But once we're throught them, come to a more profound understanding of underlying realities and maybe, and if we're ready, even, to see, the beauty that was trying to pierce out and bloom again.
Before I go any further, I just want to apologize if my sentences are perhaps a tad strange in their structures or if I make strange grammatical errors, English is not my usual language, French is. And it's structures are often the opposite of that of the English ones. So just put everything upside down, if such a thing should occure, and you'll do just fine. I don't suggest that you should shake it out, thought, 'might not be good for your computer.
In a land where Mother Nature can transform forests, into a giant's array of paintbrushes. Where you know that a bear lives just across, on the other side of the lake from where you are, of wich beavers are the architects.
In a land where you are greeted with a smile, by strangers who are not really, anymore, once this first witness of friendship is given.
A land where people are carved by their landscape.
A landscape sometimes, that of the Ocean throwing itself on the rocky shores of it's perhaps recalcitrant lover, some other times, slipping his waves within the pull of her gentle arms, so that of their love making might be born a new kingdom, where sea horses made of translucent foam galop to the stars.
A landscape where wind plays with the blond wheat, creating paintings that are only meant for birds, dancing atop in it's waving currents.
A landscape in which sky and land become one, as the gale sends blowing throught the night, it's masses of blinding snow. Which snow, once the deafening forces have been appeased, tells you of fairies' existence, by it's shimering colored lights, appearing on a full moon night or by the lighting of cities.
Such a land and people are what welcomed me into this world. By a cristal blue sky of a winter past. And I will always carry them within my heart, wherever life brings me.
