"Sun Temple, Konark, Orissa" State of Orissa by golliwog

Massive, beautiful old temple dating from the 11th century.
Located on a beach, the garbha griha (sanctum sanctorum) has collapsed, but what remain is pretty awe inspiring by itself.
There used to be a seven (i think) pairs of carved horses in the front. all that remains is a hoof here and a mane there!

• Cons:temple visiting can get tedious with demands for money...
