My Adventures

by DFWOutdoors - last update: Oct 13, 2005

Howdy from Fort Worth! My name is Daniel and I am the owner of an outdoor and social events club called DFW Outdoors. I can't think of a more fun business to own. I get to meet all kinds of great people. People who have lived and traveled all over the world. I enjoy talking to them and hearing about all the places they have been and the things they have seen. A few years ago, before my ownership of DFWO, my travel experiences were limited to Texas. (Not that there isn't anything to do in Texas!) In Oct of 2001, I took my first big trip. My best friend was getting married - in Denmark! It was a month after 9-11 and all his family cancelled their plans. But not me. It was my best friend, his fiance, and me. We loaded up and headed for northern Europe. It was an awesome trip. That trip gave me the travel bug. Then my job gave me the opportunities to travel in Mexico. Teotihuacan, Mexico City, Acapulco, Ixtapa-Zihautanejo, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. The travel bug got bigger. Now, I am so fortunate that my club allows me to travel and seek out new adventures. I have learned to ski and kayak. I want to learn how to scuba. And this summer we hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Right now I am planning an adventure tour in Costa Rica that includes kayaking, rafting, rappelling, and zip lines through the tree canopies. I can't wait. It's going take me a while to get all my travel pages updated. But eventually I hope that they will help you in your travels as other VT pages have helped me out. If you ever have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email.
