Cairns is hot pretty much all year round it does have a problem that when it rains it really rains. Its fairly small, you can get everthing and everywhere you need on foot although its a great idea to hire a car and spend at least a day travelling north.

Its a lively place, full of bars and clubs everyone up for a good time although the places can get a bit much if you go out too much.

Its got some great places to eat along the esplanade and the lagoon is a great place to relax. Theres a mall with a food court and cinema.

A day at the reef is well worht it, and if you go you have to scuba dive. Its the only way to see what lurks beneath us. After an hour or so on a boat out there there are many things you can do. Stay on the boat, swsin, scuba dive, our boat had a sumbergible so you could see underwater without getting wet.

This is a great day out and the crew on the boat were good fun and kept us entertained. Can work out quite pricey but well worth it.

A trip north of Cairns if only for a day is a great idea. If you can make it up to Cape Tribulation you will see different sorts of wildlife and along the way on the coastal road there are amazing views.

Stop at Mossman Gorge for a walk and swim in part of Cairns raingforests.
