I was an orphan moose baby living with a lot of other or orphans in a camp site close to Preikestolen (the Pulpit) in Rogaland. One day I heard some people talking about a big journey around the world. It turned out to be a mother and her son doing a test hike together with a friend of the son and his doggiefriend. Oh, how I wanted to go with them! I jumped at them and shouted: "I want to go with you, please adopt me!" And they did :-) 16 june is not my birth date, I don't know when I was born, we did not have calendars in the big forest. It is the date when my new family adopted me. I wasn't allowed to write the year, VT probably think I am too young. But it was in 2001!
Since then I have travelled a lot, starting with the hike to Preikestolen. I must admit I was a bit scared when looking down into the fjord, but my new brother held me tight :-)
I AM IN LOVE! Sorry, June, Donna, Ali, Ursula, Galatea and all my other human girlfriends, I have found my soulmate. Just look at her in my new ppp, isn't she cute? Notice that the pattern in her skirt is the same as in my jumper? Her name is almost the same as mine, too: Elga. At the moment I am not sure whether I will escort Mum to Croatia tomorrow. But Elga encourages me to go, she says she will wait patiently until I return. SIGH! |
| On top of Holmenkollen, Oslo |
| | Another high place There is a high ski jump in Oslo called Holmenkollen. My mother and brother took me there once, and it was a bit scary looking down from there, too. But this time there were glass walls around me.
I heard there is goingto be a worls championship in Holmenkollen, and that they have to tear it down and build it up again first, cause it is too oldfashioned!
My family has a lot of backpacks, and I love sitting in them! Gives me a good view and makes me feel safe :-) |
My animals I have a lot of animal friends. Here I am taking a nap with Mix, one of the cats, and my little moose.
Do you see the pin I am wearing? It says: "I did not climb Uluru". And that is true, we didn't. Somebody said that Uluru (Ayer's Rock) is sacred to the Aborigins, and that is was not nice to climb on it. (I think my mom was happy about that, cause she is a bit lazy!) She took a lot of pictures around Uluru and Alice Springs, but she can't find them :-(
Mom has found the pictures. They were on an anonymous CD among the empty ones! But she is too busy writing other pages to do anything about them at the time beeing :-(
| Drinking coconut juice, Tarawa |
| | Fresh coconut Fresh coconut juice is very good! And healthy, too, they say. Here my brother and I are enjoying some in bed in our hotel room in Tarawa, Kiribati.
My mom has got competition, I have made my own Kiribati page! :-))) |
Easter in Barcelona Each time we saw an intenet cafe my mother and brother just had to go into it. My mother updated her travelling diary and my brother played games. It was a bit boring for me. But in Barcelona they had bought a lot of goodies because it was easter, and I sat between their computers and ate a lot while they were busy :-)
| | Warren Here I am sitting in the lap of my friend Warren in a camp at Lake Malawi. It was quite dark and my mom did not use flash when she took the picture. Hope you see me anyway. Warren is a very good truck driver, cook and guide, who drove us with Froggy The Truck, from Johannesburg to Nairobi.
I have written some tips from that journey! |
My VT friends | | | Dippydora, me and Gnorman, London 21 jan 2006 |

| | Mix likes computers, too We were working together, I on the PC and Mix on Big Mac. But after a while he got bored, and turned his back to both the computers and me. I don't think he really knows how to do it, cause the Mac made a funny sound when Mix was trying to type! Our other cat, Marcus, is more interested in the parrot than the computers. But he is more careful now, since Jacko, the parrot, bit him in his toe! |
