Sharm El Sheikh lies adjacent to the Red Sea on the tip of the Sinai Penisula. It renowned world over for its fantastic dive sites, be coral or wrecks. The majority of Sharms hotels are of a superior class... most are 4 or 5 star and are international brands... Hilton, Marriott, Movenpick etc. Although they are quality hotels the rates they charge are very competitive. I know when we went we only paid around £300 each for a week all-inclusive including flights from UK, and that was at the Hilton Sharks Bay!!! If it's action or culture you want you'd be struggling to find things to do.. unless that is you are into Diiving. However if you're looking for a relaxing break, guaranteed sunshine and just a week of chill-out then you can't go wrong with Sharm. Naama Bay is a short drive from Sharm Al Sheikh airport (about 15 mins)... this is the resort centre... but as you travel from the airport to Naama Bay the whole route is laden with hotels... Sharks Bay area (where we stayed) is the closest. |
