The Airport Arriving in Kyiv, well acutually Borispol, was an experience in it's self. Two items to pass on to other travellers - 1 - don't cross the yellow line and 2 - yes it is that simple to just follow the herd when you leave. But once you cross the white line, don't look back.
Also, people are very pushy, literally. They will push past you to get to where they need to be regardless of who they are or who you are. Don't be offended, just push past them as well. This goes for pretty much everywhere - bus, theatre, airport. |
| | Kyiv What a beautiful city, full of interesting people, places and architecture. It is amazing to see the construction that is going on everywhere. Places we visited - theatre, independence square, St. Andrew's slope, Podil. Everything is an experience!! I recommend going on the "excursion", but make sure to go with an english translator as the trip is all in either Russian or Ukrainian.
Tourism hasn't hit Kyiv yet, so be careful on prices. Places will gouge tourists and they can tell even if you are fluent in the language. Let a local do the talking for you if you can trust them. |
