I am presently working at Merida, so my last visit was... today.
This is a little town (50.000 hab.), but, in some aspects, it's great. A couple of thousand years ago, Merida was the sixth city of the Roman Empire, capital city of Lusitania. This glorious pastime has left us, for instance, the longest Roman bridge in Hispania, two aqueducts and one of the most impressive Spanish monuments.

Hola, Raquel! Muchos Gracias for your kind comments on my NYC pages. :) Wow, your home city has impressive Roman ruins and history. And as you say, the modern structures are beautiful too. I'd love to visit Merida someday.

Interesting tips. I have to admit I have to admit a preference to the Roman architecture. Modern is ugly!!
