We had a very very late lunch at Patummat, one of the restaurants of Siam City Hotel, after a full morning of wats sightseeing. Nicely appointed, very careful and kind staff. Food is mainly thai, although they also offer international dishes, particularly Italian pasta. One of my companions ordered pasta with scallops and lobster, and it was nice. Pad thai was also delicious. It is expensive for Thai standards, but it is a 4-5 stars hotel... A meal for six people cost, with drinks and coffee, 3900 bahts.Tuvimos un almuerzo muy muy tardio en el Patummat, uno de los restaurantes del Hotel Siam City, despues de una manhana repleta de visitas a templos. Muy bien decorado, el personal muy atento y amable. La comida es fundamentalmente thai, aunque tambien ofrecen platos internacionales, sobre todo pasta italiana. Uno de mis companheros pido pasta con vieiras y langosta, y estaba buena. El pad thai era delicioso. Es caro para el stardad thai, pero esta en un hotel de 4-5 estrellas. Una comida para 6 personas nos costo, con cafe y bebidas, 3900 bahts.

Restaurant Name: Jim Thompson's House Restaurant
I have always liked to dine at beautiful ambiences, and if this beauty come from nature or from a garden, much better. You can have lunch at Jim Thompsons, after doing the tour, and, although it is a little more expensive than many other places in Bangkok (not expensive for Western standards), it is a delightful place. You can sit beside a pond, it is nice and relaxing indeed. Moreover, food is quite good, they serve a impressing pad thai. You can also order a wide range of sandwiches, which my companions did. A lunch for 6 people, with large Shingas and dessert cost 2300 bahts.Siempre me ha gustado comer en sitios hermosos, y si esa belleza proviene de la naturaleza o de un jardin, mucho mejor. Puedes comer a mediodia en la casa de Jim Thompson, despues de hacer el tour, y aunque es un poco mas caro que muchos otros sitios en Bangkok (no es caro de acuerdo a standards occidentales), es un sitio maravilloso. Puedes sentarte al lado del estanque, es verdaderamente agradable y relajante. Ademas, la comida es bastante buena, sirven un pad thai impresionate. Tambien puede pedir una variedad de sandwiches, que fue lo que hicieron mis companheros. Un almuerzo para 6 personas, con Shingas grandes y postre costo 2300 bahts
Favorite Dish: Apart from pad thai, banana and chocolate cake proved to be amazingly tasty.

Restaurant Name: Crepes and Company
We had a good dinner at Crepes and Co. I have been eating Thai food for former 3 days, so I didnt mind a little change. One crepe was enough for each of us, along with a pair of salads to share. They also offer all kind of Mediterranean specialities, even Spanish tapas. Delicious sweet crepes as dessert. The bill amounted 4300 baths for 6 people. I know it is not cheap for Thai standards, but the place is really nice, good ambience (both Thai and Western people) and we enjoyed it very much. You can get here taking Skytrain to Asoke, and then taking Sukhumvit soi 12. You will see Cabbages and Condoms restaurant and go on walking (there must be... perhaps 600 mts. from the beginning of the soi). It is rather dark, but safe.
Favorite Dish: Cenamos muy bien en Crepes and Co. Yo habia estado comiendo platos Thai durante los tres dias anteriores, asi que no me importo cambiar un poco. Una crepe era suficiente para cada uno, junto con un par de ensaladas para compartir. Tambien tiene todo tipo de platos mediterraneos, incluso tapas espanholas. Las crepes dulces son deliciosas para tomar de postre. Pagamos 4300 bahts para 3 personas. Se que no es barato para el standard Thai, pero el sitio es verdaderamente bonito, con buen ambiente (hay Thais y occidentales) y nos divertimos mucho. Puedes llegar alli cogiendo el Skytrain hasta Asoke y despues te metes por el Soi 12 de Sukhumvit. Pasaras por delante del Cabbages and Condoms y sigues andando hasta que ves Crepes and Co (debe de haber unos 600 metros desde el principio del soi). Esta bastante oscuro, pero es seguro, no te preocupes.
