Yeppoon is located approx. 40klms east of Rockhampton. It has several beaches, its own islands located just off the coast (accessible by ferry), as well as Byfield - its very own National Park, which also leads to a place called Five Rocks. Five Rocks is a must see for anyone who loves four-wheel driving and getting away from it all.
Yeppoon used to be a sleepy little beachside town, but has just become a popular place for those looking for a sea change lifestyle.
Definitely a must see place if the Gold Coast is too much for you.
