Nightlife Spot: Banane

This is my favorite bar in Regensburg, mostly due to the music played there - metal and alternative rock, but also due to the beer: they offer my favorite, Weltenburg Dunkles. The music is loud and they play videos on the big screen TV. The walls and ceilings have some cool decorations. The only drawback is that the bar gets pretty smokey for those non-smokers.

You need to go by the entrance to the bar Miljoo and go upstairs. Buzz the door and they will let you in.

Nightlife Spot: Zarap-Zap-Zap

Downstairs dance club. I can only speak for Wedsnesdays when they play a lot of bad pop/dance music from the disco era and beyond. However, shots of Tequilla are only 1 euro (only on Wed.), there is no cover before 23.00, they're open to 3.00, and the place is usually full by 1.00. You can get drunk easily and have a lot of fun. If you are not drinking - skip it.

Nightlife Spot: Peanutz

Catch 1. Bundesliga action here on the big screen. This place is packed on Saturdays during football season.

Since this bar has the Premiere sports packages, fans of American sports can catch NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL action (although you might have to tell the bartender to turn it on). They kept the bar open late (until 5.00) a couple of years ago for a Super Bowl party (I assume they still do this).

If there are no big sporting events, this place is usually empty except for a few teenagers.

They also have a a bunch of board games in the front corner of the bar for anyone to play.
They don't serve much for food (some small things), but you can go get a Doner Kebab down the street and eat it in the bar if you want.
