We booked the junior suite at Hotel Plaza Real, which provided us a cozy sitting room with sofa, side and coffee tables, desk, tv and fireplace (which was prepared each evening by a member of the hotel staff), refrigerator, coffeemaker, King size down covered bed and small bathroom.
The hotel has 44 suites and 12 guestrooms, each with a southwest decor. After checking in at the lobby, the rooms are accessed by a courtyard which extends between the two story structure.
The lobby has a warm, colorful Mexican tile floor and comfortable seating area wisely stationed by the rustic fireplace.
A lounge is located off the lobby, where one can get hot cocoa, glass of wine or a margarita. The hotel does not have a dining area, but next door is the luxurious Inn of the Anasazi where you can have a luscious breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Hotel Plaza Real was only a block from the central plaza alongwhich many shops, restaurants, museums and galleries were located. We highly recommend this hotel for its amenities and its convenient location!! It snowed and got a bit icy on one of the days we visited, which did not affect our plans in the least since everything we wanted to see was within this area.
Additional pictures show the junior suite with sitting room, courtyard and lobby area.
Unique Qualities: Lovely southwest decor with warm colors and comfy amenities

As we drove through the entrance to this Inn, we knew at a glance that this was something special!
A valet came immediately to our car and after telling him that we were only here to look, suggested we come back that evening to see the hotel at night lit up and dramatic!
The Inn at Loretto describes itself as being "comfortably nestled between the 13th and 21st centuries". Its designed in the Southwest style and features many amenties for the traveler who lodges here.
The guest rooms have wireless internet access, cable television, stocked mini-bar complete with personal mini-oxygen tanks, 24 hour room service, hair dryers, ironing boards, comfy bathrobes, Spa Terre bath products and a daily newspaper. Rooms are available with balconies, private or shared. A full service spa is located at the Inn.
The Inn's concierge service can make transportation arranagements, dining reservations, schedule tours or direct you around the town. Valet parking is on the premises.
