"RED BANK, NEW JERSEY--A Happenin' Town!" Red Bank by VeronicaG
Red Bank Travel Guide: 60 reviews and 57 photos
Red Bank has many things going for it, one is the river view from this town park. Each Thursday evening in the summer, free jazz concerts were presented. The concerts drew hundreds of people! A snack bar offered light refreshments, but many families enjoyed dinner from their picnic baskets while the children romped in the grass nearby.
The sunsets from this vantage point were glorious! The river breeze caressed the faces of those in the crowd and the evening gently fell to the music of jazz musicians.
Red Bank owes its name to the red color of the banks along the Navesink River.
Red Bank, like any other town, has places of worship. First Presbyterian is a staid reminder that churches are an integral part of the community for many, many people. They provide a foundation for life!
Art brings pleasure to life, beauty to one's surroundings and provides sustenance to the creative spirit!
- Pros:Upscale shopping; lovely town area; art and antique districts
- In a nutshell:A popular, hip town having reinvented itself successfully!

SKIP IT! The help were uniformed and rude. The restaurant is noisy and decorated like an ugly cafeteria. Most importantly the food was poorly executed, poorly prepared, unimaginative and pricey! I can't imagine anyone going back for such torture again!
Whoops, just noticed I rated these pages before, well suppose can`t hurt. Red Bank looks like a happening place, with plenty to do and plenty to buy. Gr8 tips and pics of the place. Tim
Jazz and art: Red Bank looks very nice and interesting.
Hmmm, might have to investigate this one. Looks like a lot of interesting spots I would enjoy. Especially all the antiques. Never knew Count Basie was from Red Bank. Glad they're restoring the theater. thanks for some very good tips!
Hi Veronica, Great page! Yes, Red Bank is a nice little town. Best regards from New Jersey, Bill
Great details and fascinating reading. Shopping, antiquities, murals and art make me ready to go there, well, someday for sure. Thanks for sharing!
Nice page Veronica! I spent a lot of time in eatontown and didn't know anything so nice was close
Another spot where's I've spent some time. Joe
Such a lovely area, no wonder you enjoy returning time after time. Nice updates on your page.
Hi Veronica - still returning to see these great locales. Put up new pages on Costa Smeralda/Porto Cervo you might like. Ciao bella, Carol
