An Easy Drive From New Jersey

When living in New Jersey it was an easy drive to Delaware.

Sometimes using the Cape May-Lewes Ferry was the most sensible way.

It surely seemed the most picturesque!

Our visits took us to Winterthur, a wonderful 60 acre estate once the home

of Henry F. duPont and to the original homestead of this same family,

Hagley, which is located outside the city of Wilmington, Delaware.

These historical homes are two of Wilmington's treasures! I've reworked

these pages, which were done at an earlier date.

    Beautiful pics! If I was to decide for a tour I would see American furniture from the 1600-1800's with that peek at the Pennsylvania-German folk art collection.
