Cuatrociénegas is a unique place in nature, where flora and fauna species that are not found anywhere else in the world have developed. When I was living in Torreon I was "adopted" by a family who lived near my grandmothers house. We used to go to Cuatrocienegas around 3 or 4 times a year. The town is about 3 or 4 hours from Torreon and 1 hour from Monclova. The town has been featured in National Geographic because of its strange ecological phenomena. The area around Cuatrociénegas is full of beautiful natural landscapes and its turquoise pools and springs are a wonderful sight that stands out in the middle of such an arid valley. |
