  • Corio Bay has many places dotted around the Bay where you can launch a boat - some places are actual boat ramps - at some locations you can launch your boat straight off the beach.

At the front of the Geelong Grammar School (Corio) you will find the Grammar School Lagoon.

You can walk along the walking tracks from the Lagoon all the way to Lara.

You can try fishing off the beach or launch your boat and go out in to the Lagoon or in to Corio Bay for a spot of fishing.

There is also a viewing platform that takes you to the front of the Lagoon and you might be able to spot some of the birds who have made Grammar School Lagoon thier home.

The fisherman who was winching in this little tinny (boat) caught a good catch of garfish -which he was happy to show us.

  • I moved my "Mum and Dad's Roses" pages to the appropriate area.

I did have them in under my Geelong pages but they belong over here - in the Northern Suburbs. My parents live about 15 minutes drive away from me.

Dad has always been a keen vegetable gardener. In the last ten years he has got right in to growing flowers. He used to say "if you can't eat it then it's not worth growing". Now he has had a change of heart and he has a beautifyl flower garden, as well as his vegetable garden. He has turned their house (the yard) into a little piece of paradise. I thought I would share some of their flowers with you - they grow some beautiful roses.

In mum and dad's garden they grow roses, cactus, wisteria, cyclamen, and more .... The cactus flowers (see photo below) fell off the cactus plant not long after this photo was taken.

    Enjoy!

  • Tip Rating:
  • I just paid mum and dad another visit so here are some more glorious flowers to share with you.

Sorry I cannot remember the names of all the flowers.

The roses were nearly finished so I missed them in all their glory.

  • Just in case you need more flowers - here are some more of the flowers in my parent's garden.

They have some lovely pots of orchids, lavender, geraniums, pelargoniums, and more.

You should smell the honeysuckle and the roses. The boronia is beautiful too.

Hi again Cassie. Started reading & rating these gr8 tips earlier & now I'm finished. Guess I'll get to see a little of this if I make it to Skilled Stadium next year.

Nice page, Cassie! The Sphinx hotel looks interesting... does it make it feel like Cairo instead of Coiro? :D
