Puno - Puno

Located at the northern end of Lake Titicaca, Puno essentially serves as Peru’s gateway to the lake and as a crossroads for travelers moving between Cusco and Arequipa or Cusco and Bolivia. Although unbearably hot during the day, frigid at night, and always breathless (the city is at 3870 meters), Puno has a certain charm about it, and it is a fun place to spend at least a few days.
