Phnom Penh Travel Guide: 1,425 reviews and 3,746 photos
Phnom Penh is a bustling city with a bad reputation. I'm not sure if it was all the negative info I've been given or if it was my intuition but I chose not to stay out past 5pm here. The place I stayed at told me it's best to stay indoors at night unless you're with a group of people. I was alone so I made the most of my days around the city. Out of all the places I visited, this was the only one I took any real caution traveling around. Still, the city offers much to see and do from the Royal Palace to the Genocide Museum of Tuol Sleng and killing fields at Cheung Ek.
On my visit to the Royal Palace, a group of guards were practicing a formation. I was told that the king would be making a visit soon and they needed to get into shape.
