Codlea is a wonderful sleepy little town, situated just outside the city of Brasov. People seem friendly enough, although frequent stares will prevail for tourists just passing through. It does boast some of the nations finest fruits and vegetables because of all the greenhouses which were erected during communism, located on the road from Brasov. A simple trip to the all-season outdoor market will yield some of the freshest fruits and vegetable which will reward the even the casual passerby with a virtual cornucopia of colors, smells and smiling faces.

Codlea is your quintessential, one horse town. It has one main road leading from Brasov, from which the main church, town hall and small walled-fortress is located. However, while it may be a one horse town, it certainly is a multiple cow town. Every evening around five thirty the cows come home, literally and parade the street.
