Regina is the Kansas City of United States or, as I fondly call it, the "armpit of Canada". It's windy, flat, has extremely long cold winters and depressingly brief summers. Spring and fall are virtually non existent. Now before all you prairie lovers get upset, there are a few good things to recommend this area of Canada. For example, the standard of living is amazing. Practically everyone can afford a house. The people are friendly, hard working and very helpful in times of need.
I have lived in Halifax, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, however, and I miss the action. Once I help my sons through university, I may get itchy feet...
There's a reason our license plates read "Land of the Living Skies"...they really are gorgeous.
Wascana Park is in the center of our city and it's gorgeous. Just one year ago, they dug the bottom of Wascana lake to make it deeper for the Canada summer games. It was quite the under-taking and many Reginians would come to the park to watch the huge Cats in operation.

Hi there from Nova Scotia. I really love your picture of the Halifax waterfront. My whole family are coming out your way for RCMP grad in July. My baby is graduating (mind, he's 35)!
The Old CP Rail Station Casino sounds like an interesting place to visit, one day, when i rent the Roadtrek fro my Transcanada ride ;-)))
Make sure you dont miss Belgium while making a trip to Europe !!!
Hi Lili, I was in Regina this summer and I think that it is a great city. Greetings from Saskatoon.
