Throughout my life I have always been on the move, to an extent you could even say I am nomadic. I was born in Wheatland, WY, but was raised in Zambia, Africa. Then I was sent to Califonia for education purposes and lived with my uncle and his hospitable family. We seemed to move quite a bit and in the process I went to many different schools and met many different faces. I am glad I did this because I feel I have a very good understanding about other cultures and am quite a bit more open to others. Because of this I have always had a wanderlust. Until recently I have been unable to explore this desire. Through my travels I have begun to gain a knowledge of who I am and where I am headed. As vain as this sounds I have become increasingly confident in myself and the people I am surrounded by. One of my goals in life is to visit every country possible and learn as much about each place as possible. We sometimes become stuck in our own lives and completely forget how the outside world affects us. It is very discerning when I meet fellow Americans who have no idea what is going in the world they live in. It seems that we have been so engulfed in pursuing material possesions that somehow people have forgotten what life is truly about. That is why I will always travel and continue to educate myself. |
