Getting TO/AROUND: With the comprehensive transportation options in Paris, you will never get lost...well....... er... at least on the 2nd or 3rd day! You'll always surely find a metro station in or around the corner. First time in Paris? Don't buy the "1-5 Zones 3-day pass" which will be given to you if you ask for an unlimited pass, costs about Euro 45. Unless you have a limited time and you want to cover the whole Paris upto Disney & Versailles in 3 days! If not, then buy a single pass or the one-week pass for 1-2 Zones which costs about Euro 15 only. BUT, remember that it is a Monday-Sunday pass, means, if you buy the pass on Monday of course it will expire on Sunday 12MN. If you buy it on Tuesday that's also upto Sunday 12MN, if you buy it on Wednesday, same expiry Sunday 12MN...so the later the day of the week you buy the pass...the lesser days you have on it. So if you're arriving mid or at a later day in the week... opt for the day pass, and just buy the week-pass on the beginning of the week. I hope I'm right on this information. And, yes..... the pass is valid for use on metro, RER and buses.
