Welcome to Krakow, Poland!

Your arrival

You have arrived...
If you arrived in Krakow like I did, this view of the airport will probably be your first. The first thing I noticed was that the plane doesn't taxi up to the airport building. The plane parks in a parking spot and you have to get onto a bus. The bus will take you the rest of the way to the airport, to about the distance from the building as the picture shows. So, if you're traveling while the weather isn't being cooperative, you better dress for the weather or your hair might get messed up a little bit :o)

I was there in March '06, so it was relatively cold. I was surprised to see that people could wait for you, as shown in the picture.
It's a bird.. it's a plane... it's a real MiG!

Here's something you don't see everyday...

Along the road was a memorial.. it was a Russian MiG fighter jet! If you're any bit familiar with history, you'll know that the border between Russia and Poland has changed many times. For example, the city of Lodz has been in both countries, depending on when and where the border was.
Ye old choych

A sight-seeing stop - Ye old church

This church is ancient and was right outside my hotel. There's one clock on one of the towers that still works! I'll have to edit this section later with the details.

You can see that in March, they do have winter there. The skies are pretty clear, too.

Pros:"Prices are somewhat cheap"
Cons:"Not much to do outside of downtown"
In A Nutshell:"I'd go back if well informed prior to the trip!"
