When you get a chance, check out the mainland The prices for everything drop when you leave Hong Kong and venture into the mainland. This is still the same county (Shenzen), but hotels drop from over $200/night to around $66/night. The Windsor Park Hotel in Dong Guan City is where I stayed, and don't drink the tap water! The hotel may leave new bottled water bottles in your room each night, and at the Windsor Park Hotel in Dong Guan, you can select the type of pillow you'd like. |
| | Eating Out If you can, find a good teppan-yacki place (I know this is misspelled). It's all you can eat, you just select what you want, and they cook it right in front of you if you get a seat at the grill. It seems very similar to US Japanese restaurants where they grill items right in front of you. Freshness is first.
Just make sure you don't have to do the dishes! LOL |
| Here I am next to these large stained glass lamps! |
| | Factory Tours I had the distinct offer of touring some of the local factories. There are some amazing items being made here. Stained glass items in particular! |
