I never thought that my first trip to Europe would be to Amsterdam. I found out though that Amsterdam is a great starting off point. Our trip was cut short because my five year old son got hurt at school. He broke his arm at school when he fell off the monkey bars and he needed surgery. We got the first flight back to the States.
I hope to come back to Amsterdam soon. I have so many things that I still would like to do and see. We plan to come back again next year around Thanksgiving time (in the States).

This was the only windmill we saw while we were in Amsterdam. I took it as we were heading off to the airport on our last day in Amsterdam.

The whole reason for us to come to Amsterdam in the first place was to meet up with some friends and go to the Cannabis Cup which is held every year during the Thanksgiving weekend. We bought our tickets to go to the cup and we missed it completely. The day it was supposed to start was the day we left to come back home.
Amsterdam reminded me alittle bit of New Orleans. At least certain parts of Amsterdam.
Next time I am in Amsterdam I would like to:
1. Take a stroll around the Jordaan neighborhood.
2. Go to Vondelpark
3. Take a canal cruise during the day
4. See the tulips(depending what time of year I go)
5. Do some side trips to nearby cities.
6. See the narrowest house in Amsterdam
7. Check out Nemo
