Trips to Sharjah, which is close to Dubai When I went to Sharjah for the first time it was, to visit a relative of mine for an evening during my trip to Dubai in April 2006. I just saw the campus of the American University there that day, which was quite impressive. I didn't get to see anything in the city though.
After moving to Dubai, I visited Sharjah (the city) on a weekend and spent a whole day there, driving around the city which was quite difficult sometimes because of the bad traffic there. |
Traffic Sharjah is a quite crowded city with many apartment buildings, but also some nice green spots and "must-see" places. There are a lot of people who live in Sharjah and work in Dubai, because rents in Sharjah are much cheaper. And that creats a lot of traffic between both cities during the rush hours. |
