Conservative I found Kuwait to be a bit more conservative than other Gulf states like Bahrain or the UAE. Although the oil-wealth has started to show here as well with skyscrapers and malls being built everywhere, it still maintains its traditional Arab culture.
Due to the influx of refugees from Iraq, Kuwait has had a strong increase in its population in the recent past and is therefore battling with a few infrastructural problems. But nonetheless I think it's a nice place for a short 1 or 2-day visit. |
