Between three cultures | Flags of Pakistan, Austria and the UAE |
I think that I have been very lucky to get the chance to experience the best of both cultures, the Austrian and the Pakistani one, and so I am very open to discover and learn about other cultures (apart from these two) as well.
And since I've moved to Dubai in June 2006 I'm exploring a third culture too, which I'm very excited about. |
| | Current Travel and Future Travel Plans Currently I am in Dubai (UAE).
Planned Travel:
June 2009: Vienna (Austria), Rome (Italy) |
My name is Umer Khan I was born in Vienna, Austria. However my parents are originally from Pakistan as well as my wife. Although I've spent almost all my live in Austria, I feel very close to Pakistan. In June 2006 I moved to Dubai, UAE with my wife and my son. This picture shows me during our honeymoon at Pearl Continental Bhurban, Pakistan. A really awesome place to which I relate very positive memories. :) | | |
| | My children I'm the proud father of two wonderful children. My son Ziyan was born in July 2005 and my daughter Nabiha in December 2007.
Ziyan means ornamental or beauty in the Arabic language, but is a very rare name. In fact I don't know any other person with that name myself.
Nabiha means noble in Arabic and is also a very rare name. |
