Throngs of people abounded around old Dubrovnik. If you want to avoid the crush, I was told go before June or after August. Even in late June, when I was there, it was great. |

|  | Downtown Marble streets, city walls, cathedrals, cafes, and incredibly ambience and scenery. Dubrovnik and the Croatian coast is pretty much everything you can expect from Europe in the summer. |
| | Hotel I stayed at the Grand Villa Argentina which was expensive (particularly for Croatia), but incredible... see photo. Also stayed a couple of nights at the Hilton which was nice, but off the water. |
