Charles Bridge is a stone Gothic bridge that connects the Old Town and Malá Strana.
Charles Bridge is a must see in Prague and is at the top of the list. It was a great experience visiting the bridge and admiring the views across the whole of Prague. As you can see from the photos it gets very busy during the day.

The best time to visit when you want to see it alone is at sunset where you can view the beautiful Prague Castle as the sun sets.

The bridge is now a pedestrian zone only but in the past was used by cars and trams.

The Old Town Bridge Tower is a beautiful Gothic tower which was built in 1380. It is pary of Prague's old fortification system which was built to help guard the town against the northern invaders. The Old Town Bridge Tower is situated at one end of Charles Bridge which is where the entrance is to the Old Town.

When visiting Prague this is a must see, make sure you go to the top of the tower and look at the wonderful views of the city from the top. The tower is accessed by 138 stairs. You can see a birds eye view of Charles Bridge, see the Prague Castle and also Mala Strana & the Vltava River.

The height of the tower is 47 metres above the terrain of the bridge and 57 metres above the Vltava water level. The corner spires are situated in the height of 64 metres.

Originally known as the New Tower, it's name was changed to the Powder Gate in the 17th century when it was used to store gunpowder.
The Powder Tower is one thing i will always remember about Prague. The first night we got there we took a walk into the town and i was amazed by this tower, it looked beautiful all lit up at night as you entered the town centre.

The Powder tower dates back to the 11th century when the original gate was one of 13 entrances into Prague Old Town.
You can also climb the 186 steps inside to reach the viewing platform at 44 metres, to enjoy views over the Old Town.

The tower is open Apr-Oct: Daily 10am till 6pm.

The haunted streets and alleys of the Old Town are the stage set for this journey. You learn about Prague's spirits and ghost sightings and is known as one of the most haunted cities in Europe.
The Ghost Trail starts at 7pm, 8.30pm and 10pm, every night, all year round & lasts for one hour. Meet your guide at the famous Astronmical Clock at the Old Town Square.

Tickets are 300 Korunas per person.

Prague Castle is beautiful and is one of Europe's largest medieval castles.
Prague Castle was established in the 9th century. A Romanesque palace was erected during the 12th century, and in the 14th century, under the reign of Charles IV, it was rebuilt to Gothic style. A further reconstruction of the Royal Palace then took place under the Jagellons at the end of the 15th century.

If you go to the top of The Old Town Tower you can see fantastic views of Prague City & Prague Castle.
