I highly recommend horseriding in Cairo, especially in the afternoon just before the sun goes down. Its great after a long hectic day to just enjoy a nice relaxing stroll into the desert & around the pyramid area. The best place to go for horseriding is to the local stable in the Sphinx area called Abou Hol. A man called Harmada owns lots of beautiful horses, racing horses aswell as dancing white horses which are gorgeous. It only costs 20 Egyptian Pounds for the ride. Really worth it.
Equipment: Wear something light & cool as it does get hot in the desert area on horseback.

Theme: Golfing
The Mena House Oberoi 18 hole Golf Course is close to the Pyramids that they literally are looking over you. The golf course was built in 1902. There you are just a few minutes away from the 5 Stars Deluxe "Mena House Oberoi Hotel". The gold course here looks fantastic, it has well looked after gardens & if your into golf you will love it here. You can rent out caddies, clubs & trollies. You can also have golfing lessons for those who are not so good at it.
