Luggage And Bags: Its good to take a small handbag or backpack to keep all your things in when your out on excursions. I usually take a small rucksack & keep all my things in such as camera, sunglasses, suncream, money etc.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Egypt is a very warm country all year round during the day so make sure you take plenty of light clothes to wear, i tend to wear long gypsy skirts when i go, that way my legs are covered but its light linen that im wearing to keep cool. In the months between Nov-Apr you will find that the nights in Egypt are abit cooler so you would need to wear a small jacket to keep warm.
Toiletries & Medical Supplies: Toiletries are very cheap in Egypt, i bought all my stuff from Boots before i went & it cost me a fortune. Since then ive always bought it in Egypt, you can get all the well known brands of shampoo, conditioner, deodrants etc.....insect repellent is a bargain in Egypt, only cost 10 Egyptian pounds. I bought some water spray which comes in a can & its really good for the time you will spend in the pyramid area in the desert camel riding, you can spray it allover your face & body to cool down.
Photo Equipment: Make sure you buy plenty of camera film before you come to Egypt, many places in Cairo sell film but its expensive & looks old, so you dont know if you will get good quality pictures.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Make sure you take a pair of sunglasses, always needed during the daytime & also lots of beachwear for the pool.
