Felfela has English speaking staff which is a bonus & they sell tasty, reasonable priced Egyptian specialities. The restaurant caters for everyone but mainly tourists. It used to be strictly vegetarian but now sells meat dishes too.

The food is delicious & i always return to Felfela everytime i go to Cairo. Its always busy which is a good sign of good food!

~ Mc Donalds ~: ~ If Your a Fussy Eater Then No Worries ~

If your a fussy eater & dont really like to try the local cusine then no worries because Egypt has all the well know fast food restaurants from McDonalds, Pizza Hut & KFC....Not seen a Wimpy yet but im working on that one hehe.

McDonalds being my favourite fast food was a treat for me when i was in Cairo, one day i fancied a burger so thought id pop in.....

I was so shocked at the prices of everything, its incredibly cheap to eat here & the cost is less than half it is in England. For any medium sized meal which includes any burger of your choice, medium fries & a medium drink it only costs 10 Egyptian pounds!!! Yes you did read that right.

Favorite Dish: All the food is great here & tastes exactly the same as it does at home, my favourite is Big Mac & i also like Mc Chicken Sandwich. The fresh Ceasar salads are really nice too & also very cheap.

McDonalds in Cairo also do delivery which i thought was quite amusing as ive never seen McDonalds delivery before......
And then even call it McDelivery hehehe!!

~ The Nile Pharaoh ~: ~ Great Buffet Meal & Belly Dancers ~

This floating restaurant is located along the Nile River close to Tgi Fridays and Grand Cafe. It has beautiful surroundings inside the restaurant and all the food is placed out around a huge buffet table which is decorated really nicely.

There are nice tables all set up ready for you to enjoy your meal and once you start your first course the ship then sails around the Nile and returns back to the dock once the night is over.

There is also belly dancers, singers, dancers and whirling dervishes which are there to entertain you for the evening. It is a fantastic way to try some of the local cuisine and also local Egyptian entertainment. You do normally have to make a reservation for this restaurant.

Favorite Dish: It is buffet style and is a la carte, they start off with soups, bread rolls and salad, then lay out some local cuisine and also some international dishes, then dessert is served, there are many cakes, ice creams, trifles and other delicious looking desserts for you to try... and the best thing is you can eat as much as you like.

~ The Grand Cafe, Cairo ~: ~ Best Spaghetti Bolognese & Shisha! ~

This is a great cafe, it is located on the Nile & it is full of Egyptians aswell as the odd tourist. I prefer to mix with the locals so i enjoy coming here. They play music all night & you can smoke shisha here aswell as having a meal or you can come here if you just want a drink.

Favorite Dish: Spaghetti Bolognese never tasted so good, its full of flavour from here & so cheap.

~ TGI Friday's ~: ~ A Floating Restaurant ~

Tgi Fridays is a fantastic restaurant located on the River Nile. It is a busy restaurant but there are plenty of tables and lots of staff for your needs.
The food is delicious and are served in large portions. The atmosphere is nice too, the staff are quite chatty and always friendly.

There is a no smoking are in the restaurant, parking is also available outside and there is a dancing area near the bar.

Favorite Dish: I had chicken dippers, fries, pizza etc. They are large portions and are great value for money too. You can also have Shisha at Tgi's too.

~ Pizza Hut & Kentucky Fried Chicken ~: ~ Delicious Pizzas & Great Prices ~

The restaurant is located on a busy road, close to the pyramids. It is located in Giza next door to Mc Donalds. It is a nice clean restaurant with fantastic air conditioning when you need to cool down from the hot sun in Cairo.
There is also a pizza hut and kfc right in front of the sphinx. Its in an ideal location if you want to enjoy the lovely views of the pyramids and sphinx and just general people watching.

Favorite Dish: The food is so cheap here that we ordered lots of it... we had pizzas (which have many toppings to choose from), Chicken wings, Potato wedges and there is also a salad bar where you can help yourself to as much as you like.
