The blue eye

I think that this is a national park area, you do have to pay to get in although it was not much. It has a very deep pool of very very cold water in the centre where you are meant to be able to see an eye in the middle....you can kind of see what they mean. Also there are rivers flowing around you and tree's shading the walk ways which is lovely on a hot day. Also there is a nice restaurant.

Beach

These are some of the best beaches i saw in albania. You can talk a boat ride over to the island where you can soak up the sun and swim. If you would rather stay on dry land the are some nice little local restaurants by the beach this side and a little club in the evening.

Uji ftohte

Meaning cold water this is the place to be on a hot day. Between Tepelene and Gjirokaster the water is running down from the mountains. You can either walk down to the river for a swim or walk up to the restaurant for a drink or something to eat in the shade of the tree's. Also you can collect fresh drinking water, you see plenty of people stopping to fill up bottles for a car journey. There are also little stalls along the road selling drinks being cooled by the water or a snack. Some people are selling fresh fish along the road as well.

Butrint

The butrint ruins are quite an interesting place to go and visit and is in a lovely setting. They still have a lot of this place to dig up and you will proberly see people there digging bits up as you walk around.

If you happen to be in Tirana in the summer months when it is very hot and can't head out to the coast i have seen a few swimming pools around so i recommend going and havind a dip to cool off.
