Before you say i'm mad stop and read! When people say Tenerife to you here you think oh no why would you want to go there....after you see the tv here and what people are doing in PDLA you think you would never want to go there but i did and i would go again, but not to PDLA!!!!
We did drive through and have a look at the strip in PDLA and yes it was as bad as the tv makes it out to be! Drunk brits and hotels piled on top of bars and clubs! Full english breakfast signs up and down the street....i mean why go on holiday? Anyway each to there own if thats what you like its up to you.
Anyway we stayed away from this place in the nice quiet resort of Torvicas with some lovely hotels and lovely quiet beaches. Some nice shops around this area and nice restaurants down near the beach.
We hired a car so we could take a look at the whole island. We visited the north of the island and went to Loro Parque and visited Mt Teide in the centre of the island. You wont believe it but when we got to the top and wanted to go up in the cable cars it was snowing so we couldn't go!!!great!
Anyway you can have a great time in Tenerife even if you don't want to get drunk every night and eat a full english breakfast in the morning! |
It's not all like Playa De Las Americas! I have visited two times now, both to the same hotel the 'Ocean Palace' which i found a lovely hotel. Close to a nice little beach and surrounded by some nice restaurants.
I would go back again....but not till i have visited more of the world!! |
