I love the south of France UPDATE: Just returned from Nice (Jan 07). Just as i remembered although with a lot of road works where the tram lines are being put in. It was a bit of a pain but im sure the tram will be well worth it once it is finished.

|  | I have just returned from my 2nd visit to Nice (jan 07), this time with my husband. We flew with easyjet(no delays!!) and then took the number 98 bus to the bus station.
We were staying in the Old Town in a lovely traditional hotel.
We went by bus to Monaco for half a day then caught the train to Ventimiglia (Italy) for the other half a day!! The rest of the time we spent looking round Nice old and new. |
We spent our days sitting on the beach, eating sorbet in one of many cafe's and shopping in many of the good shops. We also spent time looking around the lovely markets close by to the hotel. With fresh fruit and glazed fruits there was plenty to choose from.
In the evenings we picked from one of the many lovely restaurants, one very good Italian in the winding lanes of the old town. Then afterwards heading to the promenade to walk along, watching the world go by and many very good roller bladers strutting their stuff!
We also took a walk up to the castle that looks down over the city and out over the sea. While we were there there was also a parade going on with people in mad outfits dancing along to music and throwing paint all over the road! | | |
