Be my guests in Israel, folks! VTers I hosted
Khajuraho (click!), people, (India, Madhya Pradesh state, in the middle of no-where) is more than another beautiful, gorgeous, scenic, breathtaking, splendid, superb, fantastic, awesome, amazing, stunning, fabulous, marvellous, magnificent, charming, bla bla bla, site. Khajuraho is an ULTIMATE destination.
shalom anashim [Hello folks]!
Thanx for visiting my homepage. Hope you'll find some of my pages, tips, pics, adventures, experiences, useful and interesting.
Israel (click!) is my homeland (was born in Haifa (click!)). I have the sublime privilege to be born and live in "The Promised Land", which is according to Bible: "A land of weat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates, a land of oil, olive, and honey" (Deuteronomy, 8, 8). In Hebrew: "Eretz hita useora vegefen ute'ena, verimon eretz zeit, shemen udvash"(Devarim, h, h).
The Fig symbolizes femininity, productivity & abundance, the Apple - love & temptation, the Date - male fertility, Pomegranate - abundance, Peach - immortality, and Lemon - purity & loyalty.
Bulgaria (click!) is my second homeland [my parents, both, were born there], but my heart belongs to INcredible INdia (click!), and not only because this huge country is mostly vegetarian like myself.
Everywhere IN INdia you see SMILING FACES, no matter how poor is the person. Most of poor people in India LIVE THE MOMENT. They are not worried about tomorrow. Westerners say "Don't Worry, Be Happy" - Indians practice it naturally.
And BLACK is beautiful long before President Obama is in the WHITE-House. Just have a look on some Jewish (smiling) Ethiopian girls in Israel.

We have our unique 12 months that are different from the most widely used Gregorian calendar of January-......-December.
Our New Year (Hebrew: Rosh HaShannah, verbally, the head of the year) always falls in autumn season, actually in September. In the history of our ancient people the year began on Pessach (Passover) time, spring season, usually April, but this is past history (you can find it in The Bible, the Old Testament).
In everyday life most of Israelis use the Gregorian calendar, and we are well connected to the western world. Some Israelis celebrate the Christmas and the New Year of 1st January, still....
We share with you the Christian New Year but... HAVE OUR ANCIENT HOLIDAY OF ROSH HASHANNAH 3 MONTHS EARLIER.

VTers' FEEDBACK:
"Hello Avraham:
I was in Dubrovnic recently and searching for a vegetarian restaurant. When I
googled a search, your webpage appeared. I relied on your recommendation for
Nishte and was not disappointed. The food was fabulous and artful and the
chef/wait staff were delightful. What a great find! So glad I found your notes.
Thanks for taking the time to refer to the restaurant.

Marlene"

"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are loosing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise.
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with triumph and disaster,
And treat those two imposters just the same,
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken,
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn- out tools.
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch- and- toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss,
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew,
To serve your turn along after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you,
Except the will which says to them: "Hold on".
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can feel the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the world and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a man, my son !"

Hello, Avi. I'm glad the link was useful. Unfortunately, I don't have the Spanish to do more thorough research but hopefully another VT-er can find more info online somewhere. :-)
