Close but no Casino! and other Las Vegas, NV Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

This is one of the few Hotels in Las Vegas that does not have a casino on the grounds. There are many confrence rooms which make this hotel very business friendly (for when you really want to get some work done), and also a great place for families with children that are in town for shows or other high culture events but dont want their young ones exposed to massive amounts of gambling( or just dont want to have to walk allllll the way around the huge casinos trying to keep them off the floor ~~ on one under 21 laws and all). They offer convention prices and normal prices are affordable but always ask to see if they have any deals. All the rooms are suites so its very comfortable no matter where you are in the building there are at least 2 elevators so you room is never to far away. They also offer breakfast (omlettes made your way) so make sure you ask about that as well.

Unique Qualities: One of the things I really love about this place is its Royal Swans (imported from england) that hang out in the Pond/Fountain in the lobby! They are names in Honor of the King and Queen ~~Elvis and Prisilla (very Vegas eh!). If you dont try to harm them they are relaxed and love posing for Pics!

Also they have a Happy hour (around 5pm) where guests can get free drinks and socialize in the lounge with some light snacks(21 and over only please). There is also a gym, pool and hot tub as well.

Location, location location. Just because your hotel doesnt have one doesnt mean you have to miss out on all the casino fun... Hard rock cafe and casino and Terribles(check out the resaurant section about the food... yum) are both in walking distance from the Embassy and they also have shuttle drop off and pick up to and from the strip(by Harrah's).
Dont forget to have money for taxi back to the hotel just in case you wanna get back but missed the last shuttle or are in a rush for some other reason. Also there is a convience store/Subway/pizza place close by where I seen Billy Bob Thorten having lunch (many stars frequent Vegas soo keeps your eyes open!)

I stayed here for one night my very first trip to Las Vegas. I was going for a school event (M.U.N.) so we needed some place cheap. This place is very affordable and comfortable. Its not the most luxurious place in town but our room was clean, not to small and the shower worked.
Key Largo is kind of, off the strip but not too far (taxi will get you there quick), but there is a casino down stairs. They have a bar, live music and many slot machines and card tables. Not as overwhelming as many other casinos can be, this place has a more intmate feel. Talk to the ladies that takes your drink orders, they are very nice and if your polite, they come back more often (drinks are Free as long as your gaming~not at the bar~ but tip the girls if you can).

Unique Qualities: I really had a good time at this casino,,, what made it so great is I won $60. playing Elvira nickel slots. Every one we went with won a few dollars at this casino in some form or another. I havent won the same anywhere else. But it was enought to cover my part of the room stay and have some left over. Its worth a try and even if you dont win the rate are good enought where you wont be hurt over it.

Still close enought to the strip for other casino and eating options. That way if you really like the town you can check out the other hotels for you next visit with out going broke.
