Getting TO/AROUND: If you're wanting to change transfer from Metropolitan to Jubilee lines to head into Oxford & Bond St then switch at Finchley Road or Wembley as you simply have to walk across the platform rather than Baker St as it's quite a hike.

Getting TO/AROUND: ....get out and walk. I used to commute from the NW to Greenwich each day. However, when I'd get to Charing Cross on a nice summers evening, I couldn't face the trek underground so used to opt for the walk through Trafalgar Square & onwards, mostly to Baker St but occasionally all the way past Lords up to Swiss Cottage. Some great sights to be seen and far healthier.

Getting TO/AROUND: If your flight arrival is before 1500 then you will approach Heathrow from the East. If possible when checking in go for a seat on the right hand (starboard - a whole other forum) side of the plane and you'll be get to travel along the Thames from Canary Wharf to Heathrow. Sights you can expect to see are....

Tower Bridge with the Tower of London on the North Bank and the London Assembly on the South
HMS Belfast
The City of London with St Pauls Cathedral & the Gherkin (Swiss Re Building)
The London Eye - big ferris wheel
MOD Main Building - green roofed building opposite the London Eye
Houses of Parliament
Buckingham Palace
Hyde Park
Stamford Bridge (home of Chelsea FC)
Craven Cottage (home of Fulham FC)
Wembley Stadium - look for the large arch to the North

After 1500, flights approach from the West with the only sight worth seeing being Windsor Castle and lots of reservoirs
