Bright lights, big city London does have something for everyone, it may take some searching for but thats what makes it worth it. I have just spent a couple of days searching out a few of the places I'd never got round to seeing as well as re-visiting some old haunts. |
| Marathon day 94, after all nighter in Albert Hall |
View from the suburbs I lived in Harrow/Ruislip area from 1995 until 2000.This area has great travel links into town and is in easy reach of the M25, M40 & M1 for those weekend getaways. Nowadays there are a couple of good bars in Pinner that are worth a visit, especially in the summer when their beer gardens are on the go. Ruislip Lido is also a great place on a sunny day. |
| Entrance at JSU Northwood |
Working in the smoke My first job in London was in 1997 at RNC Greenwich that involved preparing for the eventual closure in Dec 98. There were many high profile events on whilst I worked there and I really enjoyed the job. I then drafted to HMS Warrior in NW London, this was rebranded as JSU Northwood in Apr 1999. I left in 2002 for a few years in Belfast and returned back in Nov 2004. |
