"last jump to the sea" Otok Krk by picek

One of the reasons that we decided to (re)visit Krk is to acquire it's delightful sheep cheese from a village near Punat, Kornić. Okay, we would have gone there probably even without knowing for cheese but that made our decision easier for a weekend trip in July.

The crowdest month, then! And hottest, too.

Nevertheless... it's without doubt impressive how much heat is accumulated in the stone that makes Krk.

Krk is nice but we had too short time now and only when I was 6 or so I was there for the first time and now I'd like to go back already for another... cheese! And for more stone, more swimming, more quiet contemplation above lunar scenerey, more exploring to the small towns and villages in the island, more good foods.

It was only too hot to do so this time... snorkelling and swimming among the fishes and having a cold beer, embraced within shade of pines... that is sometimes a priority after busy days back home.

• Pros:try to get yourself a cheese and find cool places to relax
• Cons:in peak of season you'll know it's really crowded
• In a nutshell:place worth to spend a holiday, regardless how short
