Matsuzaka Travel Guide: 11 reviews and 21 photos

Matsusaka town (often mistakenly called "Matsuzaka") is a former castle town. Although there are no buildings, the walls of the castle remain as the center of the town's historic sites. In its heyday, Matsusaka was a merchant town, and some of the structures have been preserved and are open to visitors.

The town is also famous for its beef. Matsusaka Beef is high-quality beef considered to be one of Japan's top three beefs along with Kobe beef and Yonezawa beef. There are many places throughout the town where you can try it.

The town is also known for its beautiful blue-dyed fabrics, Matsusaka momen.
