Inari Statues at Toyokawa Inari - Toyokawa

Toyokawa is famous for Toyokawa Inari, considered to be one of the top 3 Inari shrines in Japan. Although it is a Shinto site it is often called a temple instead of a shrine. This is because it was built during the times when Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines were interconnected.

Although the town does have some other historic sites, Toyokawa Inari is the pride of the town, single-handedly providing the town with its tourist revenue from all the pilgrims that come to worship here.

It's an especially nice daytrip from Nagoya to slow down the pace and maybe get in touch with your spiritual side.

Nice to see your Toyokawa page. You seems to have enjoyed Toyokawa Inari very much. In Toyokawa there is another great places such as Goyu and Akasaka. I will cover these areas soon.
