"Drake Well: Oil History" Drake Well State Park by Rabbityama

Drake Well State Park is the best place to go to learn about the discovery of oil in Pennsylvania! There is a museum there with exhibits, photos, and artifacts from the time oil was discovered in th 1850s. The museum has a lot of good information, if you take the time to read things. Outside of the museum, there are buildings and machinery that was used to drill for the oil. I think if you've never been to Drake Well, you can expect to spend anywhere from a couple hours to half a day there, depending on what you do and how interested you are. I've been there a few times, but I can still manage to spend a couple hours in the museum.
