Cherry blossoms are a well-known symbol of Japan worldwide and although Kyoto is typically touted as the best place to view the blossoms, there is no other place in the nation that has as many blossoms as Yoshino and historically, Yoshino has been the best place to view the blossoms for Japan's elite. They have been written about in stories and poems and painted by many authors and artists. Mount Yoshino has over 30,000 cherry trees altogether!

It is so famous for its blossoms that a species of cherry tree has been named after it for its Yoshino blossoms.

Because of the extreme fame of the mountain's blossoms, other seasons are not mentioned however, I am sure that the autumn season would also be amazing, since cherry blossom trees all change colors in the fall.
