"A hilltop gem" Olvera by Senoritasmile

Olvera Travel Guide: 6 reviews and 29 photos

You can see this beautiful white town gleaming for miles around. If you're heading west across andalucia to Jerez for the day, or fancy exploring north of Ronda, make Olvera one of your pitstops. It's an easy drive in and out, there are plenty of bars for a snack break. Drive to the top of the village where the restored castle is located (there's a nominal entrance fee) and the views of the surrounding area are amazing.

With a drive of less than an hour from Jerez, this traditional town has been attracting property-investing Brits. You can still pick up a 3 bed townhouse for under 50,000 euros, yes euros! Mind you, it will need some renovating. A great base for exploring western andalucia.
