Goa - Away from the Package Tour Areas The Indian state of Goa was a Portugese colony until 1961 and there is certainly still the a feeling of this.
Outside of Calangute and the Package tourist areas - Goa is a beautiful State with many small fishing villages dotted along it's vast coastline |
Arambol Arambol, Goa is a beautiful fishing village, very popular with travellers, and has quite an atmosphere about it. I enjoyed walking the beaches and taking it easy - Drinking Chai along the way.
The restaurants in Arambol can cook some wonderful dishes Tandoori Fish being one of my favourites - and not too expensive either - unlike the main tourist traps. There is a wide variety in the dishes served in Arambol from European to Indian styled food |
